Through working closely with our client and Winchester City Council. ARC Architecture agreed the demolition of the existing Victorian NHS building within a conservation area, to make way for nine Georgian style town houses and the retention of an existing Georgian town house.

Our approach offered an improvement over the existing building by addressing the prominent corner of the site facing Romsey Road, on one of the main routes in and out of Winchester. Our scheme provides a strong architectural bookend to this stretch of town houses and pickup on the prevalent architectural vernacular of Winchester.
